The International Conference titled “Demystifying the Given: A Dialogue between Phenomenology and Analytical Philosophy” was successfully held at China University of Political Science and Law during the third full weekend in October (18-20Oct., 2019). A total of 22 foreign scholars from Germany, the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Poland, Japan, Estonia, Mexico and 22 scholars from mainland China were invited to the conference. More than 20 teachers and students from both CUPL and other universities also attend the conference. Professor Feng Shiyong, Vice-Chancellor of CUPL, Professor Zhang Haojun, Head of the Department of Philosophy and Professor Andrea Altobrando, of the Department of Philosophy of the University of Padua, Italy, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.
