Deshun Li was born in Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province in September 1945. He is currently a tenured professor of China University of Political Science and Law, the honorary dean of the Faculty of Humanities, a doctoral tutor and a post-doctoral cooperation tutor in law and culture. He is also the vice chairman of the Chinese Dialectical Materialism Research Association, the chairman of the Chinese Value Philosophy Research Association, the vice chairman of the Beijing Philosophical Society, the director of the Chinese Yanhuang Cultural Research Association, and the member of the academic committee of the Chinese Behavioral Law Society. He has been working at many research institutions as visiting professors and researchers, and is an editorial board member in several national and international journals. He has been invited to give lectures at universities such as Hitotsubashi University, Japan, Toyo Institute of Philosophy, Institute of Philosophy of Russian Academy of Sciences, Italy-China Friendship Association, Hong Kong Soka Gakkai, etc. He was rated as an expert with outstanding contributions in 1992 and enjoys special government allowances from the State Council.
